Park Manor in McKinney, TX, is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. You will provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients under licensed supervision, with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role involves standing and walking throughout the facility, occasional lifting and transferring of patients and equipment, and generating discharge summaries while adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels; new grads are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care, develops care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients per clinical standards.
• Stand and walk regularly; assist with lifting, transferring, and repositioning as needed.
• Administer procedures including manual therapy, exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients and families regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
