Job summary

Remedy Home Health Care in West Los Angeles County is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team. You will provide compassionate, one-on-one rehabilitation at patients' homes, focusing on mobility, balance and independence.

The role offers per diem, part-time or full-time schedules with pay-per-visit compensation. Prior home health experience is valued, and you’ll work within a supportive, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Active California PTA license.
• CPR certification (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; home health preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Your Role as a Home Health PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant)

As a Physical Therapist Assistant in home health, you will deliver skilled therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on rehabilitation, fall prevention, and functional mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-home physical therapy services following the established Plan of Care
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehabilitation programs
• Support senior care patients in improving strength, balance, and independence
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety, and fall prevention
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications:

• Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
• Current CPR certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (home health experience preferred)
• Strong interest in home health, rehab, and senior care
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
