Job summary

The Springs of Avalon in West Memphis, AR is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. PRN, Part-Time, and Full-Time positions are available, with supervision by a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on care and support resident mobility and independence.

New graduates are welcome. The role emphasizes compassionate care, collaborative teamwork, and compliant documentation within a SNF/long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas PTA license in good standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care settings preferred.
• Experience with Net Health documentation is a plus.
• Ability to observe, document, and report patient progress clearly.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions under PT supervision.
• Assist in implementing and modifying treatment plans based on resident progress.
• Observe and document resident performance, safety, and response to therapy.
• Educate and support residents, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Communicate updates and observations to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in care planning.

Position Summary

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide hands-on patient care, carry out treatment plans, and help residents improve mobility and independence. Your clinical skills and compassionate approach will play a vital role in each resident’s progress and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve mobility, strength, and function
