Job summary

Select Medical’s outpatient orthopedic center in Houston is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our clinical team. You will provide high-quality patient care under a licensed PT, contribute to treatment plans, and help patients regain function.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
• Valid state PTA license (or license in process).
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a licensed physical therapist as required by state practice acts.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services to patients and caregivers following PT policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers, patients and staff to support care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
