Advance Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Southeast team. The PTA will work under a Physical Therapist to deliver orthopedic-focused care and participate in comprehensive rehabilitation programs.

We offer mentorship, ongoing education, and an in-house APTA accredited residency, plus a 401K and community service opportunities. Great team and supportive staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state of Georgia PTA license, CPR certification.
• Exercise, sports rehab, and manual-based skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Ensure patient care meets standards for assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Assist in completing written plans of care and developing goals based on evaluation findings.
• Support in implementing physical therapy treatment programs and essential treatments.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

• Assist in assessing patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, following established protocols and patient care guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
• Support in ensuring patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians meets standards
• Assist in completing written plans of care, developing goals based on evaluation findings, and contributing to comprehensive programs to attain goals
• Support in implementing physical therapy treatment programs and providing essential physical therapy treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies, under the guidance of a Physical Therapist
