Job summary

The Gardens at Cedarwood in Franklin, MA is excited to hire a Full-time or PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. You will administer treatments, support plans of care, and help residents regain mobility.

This role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program, a current MA PTA license, CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication with patients, families, and teammates. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state PTA license in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification (required).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatment to residents to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions.
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and needs.
• Assess patient evaluations and test results for treatment planning.
• Develop treatment plans using a variety of techniques.
• Create personalized fitness-oriented health programs for patients.
• Administer medically prescribed PT treatments to improve mobility.
• Advise patients on exercise techniques and home-treatment options.
• Provide educational information about injury prevention and ergonomics.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and document care history.
• Comply with rules, regulations, and procedures.
