Job summary

Candor Consulting & Diagnostics is seeking a dedicated school-based Physical Therapist to help students improve mobility and access to education. You will conduct evaluations, collaborate with IEP teams, and deliver or supervise therapy services in alignment with Texas standards.

You’ll communicate findings to families and educators, participate in ARD meetings, and track progress to inform service planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited Physical Therapy program or equivalent.
• Active License by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Current CPR certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Needs: Conduct comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations using standardized tools, observations, and student-centered assessments to determine need for specialized services in alignment with Texas education standards.
• Communicate Findings: Share evaluation results with parents, educators, and district personnel, offering clear, actionable recommendations that promote students’ access to education and functional independence.
• Develop Interventions: Collaborate with the IEP team to design evidence-based, individualized therapeutic interventions that address student-specific needs, support functional goals, and enhance participation in the educational environment.
• Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services or supervise licensed PTAs in implementing IEP goals.
• Monitor Progress: Collect, analyze, and document student progress data, maintaining detailed and accurate records that inform IEP reviews and ongoing service planning.
• Support Teams: Actively participate in ARD meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students and contribute to the enhancement of special education programs.
