The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care and in compliance with the state Physical Therapy Practice Act. Responsibilities include implementing, with minimal supervision, quality physical therapy services; evaluating clients; developing initial and ongoing treatment plans; creating discharge plans; contributing to case management; and ensuring quality patient care. The therapist adheres to applicable state regulations and refers or supervises treatment by physical therapist assistants (PTAs).
