Job Summary

The Physical Therapist performs examinations, evaluations, and establishes plans of care including goals and recommendations for discharge. Provides daily treatment to promote functional independence, modifies treatment programs, documents in EHR, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. Participates in program improvement, clinical education, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy

Must be fitted for and capable of performing routine PPE tasks, including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy
• Experience as a PT in an acute care setting
• Current AHA BLS certification (must obtain within 30 days of start)
• 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations using appropriate tests and measures.
• Create individualized care plans with realistic goals.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercise, ultrasound, electrical stimulation.
• Assess patient responses, modify interventions for safety and outcomes.
• Instruct on home exercises, body mechanics, lifestyle modifications.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes in compliance with policies.
• Coordinate care with healthcare professionals.
• Engage in continuing education and certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
