Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a Doctorate in Physical Therapy to provide patient evaluations and treatment across two sites: Stephenson and Marinette. The role requires establishing care plans, monitoring progress, and coordinating discharge with home programs.

Responsibilities include documentation, billing, safety, and potential supervision of PT assistants. Occasional weekend coverage in acute care may be required; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state where you work (e.g., MI).
• No experience required.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals and perform musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations.
• Establish and implement a plan of care based on evaluations and goals.
• Monitor outcomes and adjust treatment plans; provide status updates to physicians.
• Plan for and complete patient discharge with home programs and family/patient teaching.
• Document all care per policy; record daily statistics, billing, and scheduling.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and clean work areas; ensure proper equipment use.
• May supervise PT assistants and students as requested.
