Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of Therapy Leadership. This role includes direct supervision of patients and supervision of rehabilitation staff, aligned with Mercy Service Standards.

Education required includes a Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and licensure in the practice state.

Qualifications

• BLS certified; required certifications must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist in adult/geriatric care.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision to rehabilitation technicians; supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Follow Mercy mission, values and Service Standards while delivering patient care.
• Contribute to care planning and collaboration with the therapy leadership and department policies.
