*Job Title:* Physical Therapist – 13 Week Contract

*Location: *Marshall, MN

Big Stone Staffing travelers have the opportunity to work in multiple settings including long term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, inpatient, outpatient, and home health. We offer 13-week travel contracts and provide assistance to find housing, navigating licensure for each state, and being the liaison between you and the facility. *Overview:*
* Setting: LTC/SNF and IP
* Pay Package: Starting at $2000 per week
* Guarantee: 40-hour weekly guarantee
* Schedule:Monday - Friday, Willing to be flexible – No weekends, holidays or call
* Start Date:ASAP
* Length: 13 weeks

*Responsibilities:*
* Providing supervision for Physical Therapist Assistants and/or Therapy Aides as per state and federal laws and/or regulations
* Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons
* Diagnosing movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move about
* Developing an individualized treatment plan
* Coaching patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
* Using hands-on therapy such as massage to ease patients’ pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
* Maintaining patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
* Advising patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery process
* Performing administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone calls
* Authenticating, preparing, and submitting of documentation, ensuring confidentiality of all records, per HIPAA guidelines

*Qualifications:*
* Doctorate or master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution
* Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist
* CPR Certification
* Valid driver’s license
* Must be able to pass a background check
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience in skilled nursing and/or inpatient settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
