Job summary

Merit Health River Region in Mississippi seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, and administer rehabilitative therapies for diverse patients. You will establish goals, provide treatments, and regularly reassess progress while documenting findings accurately.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy, active PT license in the state, and 0–2 years of PT experience. Schedule is full-time days with occasional Saturday rotation; strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• 0-2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting required.
• PT license in the state of employment required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer safe and effective therapy treatments and document interventions.
• Reassess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing info clearly.
• Educate patients and families on plans, exercises, and post-treatment care.
• Operate therapy equipment safely and maintain a clean environment.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and safety procedures.
