Job summary

The Orchard Post Acute in Whittier, CA is seeking PRN and Part Time Physical Therapists to join our in-house therapy team. As part of our clinical staff, you’ll work with geriatric and post-acute patients, with opportunities for ongoing education in dysphagia, dementia care, stroke rehab, and respiratory recovery.

Licensed PTs of all experience levels are welcome; open to new grads. This on-site role offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license in California.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions per plan.
• Administer procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers.
• Generate discharge summaries compliant with regulatory requirements.

The Orchard Post Acute in Whittier, CA, is a skilled nursing facility with long term care, post-acute rehab, and geriatric outpatient therapy services provided. We are seeking PRN and Part Time Physical Therapists to join our in-house therapy team. As part of this amazing team of clinicians, you will have opportunities for training and continuing education in Think Thin/dysphagia, Abilities Care and dementia, stroke and neuro rehabilitation, and respiratory/COVID recovery programs.

Duties

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

Physical Therapist license is required.
