Job summary

Avalon Rehabilitation & Care Center in Wayne, NJ is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our caring team. You will conduct physical and psychological assessments, develop and follow treatment plans, and help residents regain lost skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
• Licensed/board-certified in physical therapy.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to work in Wayne, NJ.
• Up-to-date knowledge of PT treatment methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical therapy assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Advise on adaptive equipment to assist daily activities.
• Develop rehabilitation programs to restore skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment accordingly.
• Maintain current knowledge of therapies and equipment.
• Evaluate patient condition including basic mental health.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
• Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
• Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
• Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
• Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
• Evaluating patient condition regarding physical and basic mental health.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Physical Therapy
• Certified by the National Board for Certification
• Experience in Long-term-care preferred
• Must be able to work in Wayne, NJ
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.
