Job summary

Apploi is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic services directly to students by developing functional goals based on the student’s needs, tracking progress, and communicating with parents.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive services for students with disabilities, screening procedures, evaluations, planning and delivering treatment, maintaining records, and collaborating with staff, students and families in compliance with New York State rules and district

Qualifications

• Must be organized and able to manage multiple student needs.
• Strong written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive services for students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement screening procedures following rules and procedures to identify students needing corrective instruction.
• Use observation, staff conferences and assessments to evaluate students.
• Plan and deliver treatment for students with deficiencies in individual and small-group settings.
• Provide regular evaluation of students to determine effectiveness of services.
• Produce accurate records and reports as required by law and regulation or by school.
• Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with administration, staff, students and parents.
• Adhere to New York State rules and regulations, school policies and contractual obligations.
• Be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
