Job Details / Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients, establish realistic goals, and develop individualized treatment plans according to physician orders
- Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and rehabilitation procedures to restore function and mobility
- Assess patient progress regularly, modify plans as needed, and document accurately in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and support staff for coordinated patient care
- Provide patient and family education on home exercise programs, safety, and self-management strategies
- Direct and supervise technicians or support personnel while maintaining equipment safety and operation
- Participate in departmental quality improvement, educational programs, and policy adherence
- Deliver care across inpatient acute, outpatient, or rehab settings depending on assignment while promoting maximum patient independence
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Texas required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Bachelor’s required; Doctorate preferred)
- Current BLS certification
- New graduates or experienced therapists welcome; 1+ years preferred for advanced settings
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work full-time schedule including potential varied shifts or weekends as needed
