Job summary

Barrows Training and Education Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy to join our outpatient team in Torrance, CA. The PT will evaluate patients, design individualized plans, and apply interventions to improve mobility and function.

Responsibilities include documentation, patient education, progress monitoring, and ongoing professional development. Competitive salary with benefits is offered, and licensure is required or eligible in California.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical conditions, mobility, and functional abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and patient goals.
• Implement therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and outcomes using Raintree.
• Educate patients and families about rehabilitation processes and home exercises.
• Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans based on progress and feedback.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with evidence-based practices.

Salary: $90,000-$105,000/annually based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, mobility, and functional abilities.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and patient goals, considering evidence-based practices.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
• Documentation: While using Raintree, maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes in compliance with regulations and clinic policies.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, home exercise programs, and preventative care strategies.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in physical therapy through continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
