Job summary

Kessler Rehabilitation Center in Kendall Park, New Jersey, is seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time role (40 hours weekly). Compensation ranges from $86,000 to $110,000 annually, based on experience, with a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 and a debt-benefit program.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an APTA-accredited PT program.
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy license/registration required to start.
• Prior outpatient orthopedics experience preferred; entry level acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Educates patients and caregivers and plans discharge when appropriate.
• Collaborates with the rehab team and participates in departmental initiatives.
• Supports ongoing professional growth and program quality improvements.
• Duties include other standard PT care and therapy service design as required.

Responsibilities Of The Physical Therapist (PT)

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, develops and appropriately progresses individualized treatment plans.
• Provides thorough education to patients and caregivers in a manner they can understand, and plans appropriately for discharge when medical necessity no longer indicates skilled therapeutic care.
• Participates in departmental initiatives and demonstrates effective communication with all rehab team members.
• Facilitates professional growth, development and overall improvement of departmental performance.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.
• Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start.
• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred; entry level/New Grad acceptable
