Job summary

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team in Mendham, NJ. This full-time role offers a competitive compensation range and a comprehensive benefits package.

The PT will conduct evaluations, develop individualized plans, and educate patients for successful discharge. Eligible candidates have an NJ license, graduation from an APTA-accredited program, and a willingness to work in outpatient orthopedics.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
• Valid New Jersey State Physical Therapy License/Registration REQUIRED to start.
• Prior outpatient orthopedics experience preferred; entry level/New Grad acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide patient and caregiver education and discharge planning when appropriate.
• Collaborate with rehab team and participate in department initiatives.
• Support professional growth and continuous improvement of services.
• Contribute to program delivery and therapy service design.
• Maintain licensure and adhere to professional standards.

Responsibilities Of The Physical Therapist (PT)

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, develops and appropriately progresses individualized treatment plans.
• Provides thorough education to patients and caregivers in a manner they can understand, and plans appropriately for discharge when medical necessity no longer indicates skilled therapeutic care.
• Participates in departmental initiatives and demonstrates effective communication with all rehab team members.
• Facilitates professional growth, development and overall improvement of departmental performance.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.
• Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
