Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapist I in Rumford, Maine for full-time, an 8-hour day shift, Monday–Friday. This hospital-based outpatient rehab role offers one-on-one patient care, clinical autonomy, and a strong mentorship program for new graduates.

Qualifications

  • Physical Therapy degree (BPT/MSPT/PT) required.
  • Current state Physical Therapy license.
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, mobility, and functional rehabilitation.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and home exercise programs.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation and comply with hospital and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist I delivers evidence‑based, patient‑centered rehabilitation services to restore function, improve mobility, reduce pain, and maximize independence.
