Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. You will assess patients, design tailored therapy plans, and guide recovery after surgery to improve mobility and function.

Responsibilities include pain management, education for patients and families, and ensuring safe home-exercise routines. A valid PT license and BCLS certification are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, Doctorate, or certificate in Physical Therapy required.
• Current state Physical Therapy license required.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional limitations.
• Develop individualized therapy plans to improve movement and function.
• Assist patients in regaining function after surgery (e.g., joint replacements, cardiac procedures).
• Use pain management techniques including manual therapy, positioning, and guided movement.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, home safety and use of assistive devices.

Hours: 8 hour shift

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assessing Patients: Evaluate a patient's mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional limitations

• Creating Treatment Plans: Develop individualized therapy plans to improve movement and function based on the patient's condition and goals

• Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Assist patients in regaining function after surgery (e.g., joint replacements, cardiac procedures)

• Pain Management: Use techniques such as manual therapy, positioning, and guided movement to reduce pain and improve comfort

• Patient & Family Education: Teach patients and caregivers how to perform exercises, use assistive devices (like walkers), and follow safety practices at home

Qualifications

• Bachelor/ Masters/ Doctorate/Certificate degree in Physical Therapy.


• Current state Physical Therapy license.


• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
