Job summary

NeuroRestorative, a part of Sevita, provides rehabilitation services at a Reno 36-bed facility for pediatric and adult patients with brain, spinal cord, and other complex conditions. This part-time or PRN physical therapy position focuses on delivering medically prescribed therapy to restore function and reduce pain in diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
  • DPT preferred or obtained.
  • One year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates program participants and develops written treatment programs.
  • Administers treatment and communicates needs to staff, with re-evaluation as needed.
  • Maintains timely program documentation and billing summaries.
  • Adheres to accreditation/licensure standards and confidentiality.
  • Attends clinical meetings and participates in rehab team discussions.
  • Plans staff in-service programs and participates in orientation for new staff.
  • Writes service summaries and supports case management activities.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

About NeuroRestorative

Our Reno location is a 36 bed neuro-rehab skilled nursing facility. We provide care to pediatric and adult patients, ranging from long term skilled nursing needs to short term rehabilitation stays.

Summary

Provides medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for pediatric and adult patients suffering from injuries, deconditioning, or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.

Essential Job Functions
  • Evaluates program participants through appropriate evaluation procedures and develops written treatment programs for each participant.
  • Administers appropriate treatment programs and communicates program participant needs to appropriate staff. Provides needed re-evaluation and programmatic changes as necessary.
  • Maintains timely and appropriate program participant/administrative and department documentation.
  • Ensures adherence to accreditation standards, licensure standards, professional code of ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Attends programmatic meetings on request for team reports, policy setting, exchange of information, etc.; attends other appropriate meetings/conferences as needed.
  • Attends clinical meetings to exchange, discuss, and evaluate program participant treatment programs.
  • Serves on rehabilitation treatment team(s). Communicates with physicians, staff, professionals/paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources as needed to ensure effectiveness of physical therapy program.
  • Plans and implements in-service programs for staff and other groups as requested/assigned by supervisor.
  • Participates in orientation programs for new staff, program participants, and PT/PTA students.
  • Writes service summaries as requested by case manager/program director and maintains daily billing summaries and turns them into the appropriate staff.
  • Performs other related duties and activities as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Disciplines specific supervision of PTAs and Interns as required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
  • DPT
  • One year’s experience preferred
