Job summary

Sevita's NeuroRestorative division is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a PRN position in Littleton, CO. The role focuses on evaluating patients, developing and adjusting treatment plans, and documenting progress to restore function and reduce disability.

You will collaborate with physicians, staff, and families, ensure compliance with standards, and participate in team meetings. A PT license in the state and a PT degree are required; some experience is preferred; travel may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates program participants and develops written treatment programs.

• Ensures adherence to accreditation standards, licensure standards, professional ethics, and confidentiality.
• Attends programmatic and clinical meetings to discuss and evaluate treatment programs.
• Communicates with physicians, staff, families, and community resources to ensure effectiveness of the program.
• Plans and implements in-service programs for staff as requested by supervisor.
• Writes service summaries and maintains billing summaries.

Overview

NeuroRestorative, part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Compensation and Hours

PRN - Flexible schedule/hours!

$45-50/hr

Summary

Provides medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, deconditioning, or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.

Essential Job Functions

• Evaluates program participants through appropriate evaluation procedures and develops written treatment programs for each participant.
• Administers appropriate treatment programs and communicates program participant needs to appropriate staff. Provides needed re-evaluation and programmatic changes as necessary.
• Maintains timely and appropriate program participant/administrative and department documentation.
• Ensures adherence to accreditation standards, licensure standards, professional code of ethics, and confidentiality.
• Attends programmatic meetings on request for team reports, policy setting, exchange of information, etc.; attends other appropriate meetings/conferences as needed.
• Attends clinical meetings to exchange, discuss, and evaluate program participant treatment programs.
• Serves on rehabilitation treatment team(s). Communicates with physicians, staff, professionals/paraprofessionals, consultants, families, and community resources as needed to ensure effectiveness of physical therapy program.
• Plans and implements in-service programs for staff and other groups as requested/assigned by supervisor.
• Participates in orientation programs for new staff, program participants, and PT/PTA students.
• Writes service summaries as requested by case manager/program director and maintains daily billing summaries and turns them into the appropriate staff.
• Performs other related duties and activities as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Disciplines specific supervision of PTAs and Interns as required.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
• One year’s experience preferred

Certificates, Licenses, And Registrations

• State licensure in physical therapy.

Physical Requirements

• Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
