Position Overview

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit physical disabilities. The PT works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients with orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, post-surgical, and other rehabilitation needs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, physician referrals, and patient goals
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility activities
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize outcomes
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care
  • Participate in departmental initiatives, quality improvement activities, and program development efforts
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and professional standards of practice
Physical Therapist Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's (B.A., B.S.), Master's (M.A., M.S.), or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy
  • Graduate of an accredited and certified Physical Therapy program
  • Possess or be eligible for Washington State Physical Therapist licensure
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical reasoning skills
  • Hospital-based, inpatient, outpatient, or orthopedic experience preferred but not required
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
