Position Summary

Provides individualized evaluations, assessments, prognoses, treatments, and education to meet each patient's needs based on medical necessity and clinical indication, in accordance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Title 16. Services are provided across inpatient acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. Maintains professional standards, productivity, and ongoing professional development to promote clinical excellence. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and functioning levels while learning to live within their capabilities.

Major Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean environment, including safety and infection control requirements.
• Perform evaluations, assessments, prognoses, treatments, and education accurately for patients and families/caregivers.
• Provide care in inpatient and outpatient settings based on patient needs.
• Meet weekend and holiday requirements based on FTE status.
• Assess all relevant areas, develop treatment plans, and complete documentation timely.
• Accurately enter data into the Electronic Health Record System.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide mentorship as requested (voluntary).
• Follow organizational rules, policies, procedures, laws, and standards aligned with the mission, vision, and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience as a Physical Therapist preferred.
• Proficiency in Physical Therapy modalities, interventions, and procedures required.
• Knowledge of office equipment and software (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, internet) required.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
• Strong customer service skills required.

Education

• Graduate of an approved professional school or accredited college/university with a degree in Physical Therapy required.

Licenses

• Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California required.

Certifications

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider required upon hire.

All new hires must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen, and background checks before starting. Salary is based on verified experience and internal equity.
