Job summary

Orthopedic Institute of PA is seeking a licensed physical therapist to develop and administer treatment programs aimed at improving function, reducing pain, preventing disabilities, and promoting overall health for our patients and families.

You will provide skilled PT treatments per physician orders, establish goals after evaluation, maintain confidential records per HIPAA rules, and collaborate with facilities staff to expand patient relations.

Qualifications

  • Outpatient experience preferred but not required.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Licensed PT expected to follow physician orders and maintain records.

Responsibilities

  • Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with the physician’s orders.
  • Establishes a physical therapy diagnosis, treatment plan and goals after evaluation.
  • Maintains positive interaction with facilities and clients; expands client relations with facilities and staff.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complies with the Pennsylvania State Physical Therapy Act, codes, and regulations.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing and administering physical therapy treatment programs designed to improve function, reduce pain, prevent disabilities, and promote the overall health and well-being of our patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with the physician’s orders.
  • Establishes a physical therapy diagnosis, treatment plan and creates goals for the patient according to their evaluation.
  • Maintains a positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.
  • Maintains patient records confidentially in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complies with the Pennsylvania State Physical Therapy Act, codes, and regulations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy.
  • Current Pennsylvania Physical therapy license or license eligible.
  • Outpatient experience preferred, not required.
  • CPR certification is required.
