Job summary

Madden & Gilbert Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our Central Pennsylvania team. You will assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and coordinate care with physicians and insurance providers.

The role emphasizes quality patient outcomes and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates bring outpatient orthopedic experience, CPR certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college with an APTA curriculum.
• One or more years of outpatient orthopedic experience within a private clinic or hospital preferred.
• Currently registered and licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and CPR certified.
• Outgoing and energetic personality.
• Experience in exercise and manual-based skills, McKenzie skilled, and sports rehabilitation.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
• Review the physician's referral and patient records to determine required PT treatment.
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Supervise patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
• Complete a written plan of care, set goals, and develop a comprehensive program to attain them.
• Implement PT treatment program and provide essential therapies.
• Communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurers.
• Ensure timely documentation including daily notes and discharge summaries.

Job Description

What You’ll Do:

• Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
• Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
• Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
• Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
• Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
• Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
• Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
• Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
• Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
