Americare is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist in New York to deliver physician-prescribed physical therapy and collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor patient progress. The role emphasizes proactive communication with physicians and Americare Therapy Services to align on rehab plans and patient needs.
The ideal candidate will have NY licensure, CAPTE-approved education, and at least two years of experience, with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and use clinical judgment.
The Physical Therapist provides physician-prescribed Physical therapy to improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of the patient. Maintains ongoing communication with the Physician, healthcare team, and other individuals as needed regarding aspects of care and patient’s status. Communicates with Americare Therapy Services as needed regarding issues related to Rehab services and indicated patient care.
Position Qualifications: Two (2) years of experience, preferred. Licensed by The State of New York as a Physical Therapist. Graduate from a physical therapist curriculum approved by one of the following: The Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or successor organizations of CAPTE. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
