Center Manager – Physical Therapist (PT)
Job Summary:
- Oversee daily operations, manage a full patient caseload, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Handle financial performance, staff supervision, and business development efforts such as sales and marketing to referral sources.
- Provide leadership, clinical expertise, and high-quality patient care.
Management Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive work environment aligned with organizational values.
- Oversee therapy center operations, patient scheduling, and case management.
- Implement business plans and company initiatives to drive performance.
- Supervise staff, including site supervisors if applicable.
- Assist in strategic planning, budget development, and financial goal execution.
- Monitor financial statements and key performance indicators for profitability.
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to grow referral networks.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining quality patient care.
- Hire, train, and develop clinical and administrative staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and quality assurance standards.
- Conduct periodic audits to assess and improve patient care outcomes.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services, including evaluation and treatment planning.
- Document patient care plans, progress, and medical necessity accurately and timely.
- Follow federal, state, and industry regulations for patient care and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and referral sources.
- Stay updated on best practices, industry trends, and continuing education requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Act as a mentor and resource for clinical and administrative staff.
- Assist with general center maintenance for a clean, professional environment.
- Support customer service tasks such as phone answering, scheduling, and patient registration as needed.
- Maintain strong relationships with referral sources, physicians, and third-party payors.
- Participate in professional development and community outreach activities.
- Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Doctorate (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in physical therapy, preferably in a management or leadership role.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and implement business strategies.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for patient care and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of Medicare compliance, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical documentation software.
- Current CPR certification as required by state law.
Work Setting & Schedule:
- Outpatient rehabilitation clinic or healthcare facility.
- Full-time schedule with flexibility based on patient and business needs.
- Day shift (8 AM – 5 PM) with potential evenings or weekends.
