Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The nurse will support individuals with advancing age, frailty, and serious illness, ensuring high-quality care and communication. A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Provide case management and hospice care services as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Required Skills & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of employment (WA accepted under Compact License).
- Minimum of two years of experience in hospital, home health, or hospice care.
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Driver's license, car insurance, and reliable automobile for field work.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Experience working in Medical/Surgical, ICU, ER, Psychiatric, Labor & Delivery, PACU, or Operating Room settings.
- Previous experience with contract nursing assignments.
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration and case management software.
Special Considerations
- Must complete documentation and credentialing processes prior to assignment start.
- Compact License holders for WA and AK states are eligible to work.
- Contract assignments require a 13 to 26-week commitment with a guaranteed workweek of 32 hours during holiday weeks.
- Completion bonuses available for contractors signing through the end of September.
- Parking and dress code information provided on the first day of assignment.
Scheduling
- Day shifts with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek.
- Overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate.
- Weekly billing cycle.
- No on-call responsibilities.
