Responsibilities:
  1. Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on evaluation results.
  2. Reviews the Physician's referral (Prescription), patient's condition, and medical records to determine the required physical therapy treatment.
  3. Provides direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
  4. Documents findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
  5. Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
  6. Completes a written plan of care, develops goals based on evaluation findings, and creates a comprehensive program to attain goals.
  7. Implements physical therapy treatment programs and provides essential treatments.
  8. Communicates effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies.
  9. Ensures timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly reports, evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate from CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Current Virginia license or ability to obtain it, along with CPR certification.
  • Ability to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation treatment plans.
  • Ability to work efficiently in an autonomous environment.
  • Basic PC skills, including EMR systems, database software, and MS Office.
