Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist in Missouri to help patients improve movement and function at home. You will provide skilled therapy, conduct periodic reexaminations, adjust treatment plans, and discharge when appropriate.

This role supports home-based care with flexibility and growth opportunities. Ideal candidates have an active PT license, CAPTE-accredited education, and CPR certification, with at least one year of home health experience or the willingness to be mentored.

Qualifications

• Home health PT experience is preferred.
• Active state physical therapy license is required.
• CAPTE-accredited degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations at least every 30 days, adjust plans as needed and perform discharge planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.

• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
