Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our home health team in the United States. The role emphasizes helping patients maintain and improve movement and function in the comfort of their homes, with ongoing reexaminations and discharge planning as part of care.

The position requires a CAPTE-accredited PT program, a current license, and CPR certification. Experience in home health care is preferred, with mentoring available for those with less than one year in the field.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health care.
• If less than one year of experience, mentoring or residency approval is required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
