Job summary

LeRoy Village Green is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our in-house therapy team. You will assess patient needs, develop and deliver individualized rehabilitation programs and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities include supervising assistants and students, referring to other disciplines when needed, educating patients and caregivers, and promoting independence and quality of life in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Valid physical therapy license in New York or eligibility to apply.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

• Developing and implementing individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce and enhance performance.
• Identifying need for and refer to other disciplines to address patient needs.
• Instructing, educating and training patients and caregivers to promote independence and quality of life.
• Supervising Physical Therapist Assistants, provisional licensees, students and support personnel in line with licensure requirements.

The Physical Therapist is an integral part the care team that helps change the lives of our patients and residents each day. As a Physical Therapist you are responsible for assessing the need for, developing and delivering physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation in an interdisciplinary environment including:

• Developing and implementing individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce and enhance performance
• Identifying need for and make referral to other disciplines to address the needs of the patient
• Instructing, educating and training patients and caregivers in the essential skills and functions needed to promote patient independence, productivity, and quality of life.
• Supervising Physical Therapist Assistants, provisional licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards

Position Requirements

• Valid physical therapy license in New York of practice, or eligibility to apply
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
• Basic computer literacy skills
• Current CPR certification
• Able to wear PPE, including, but not limited to masks, face shields, goggles, gloves, and gowns as mandated.
