HealthQuest Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist for a part-time role in Lake Orion, MI. The schedule is 3 days per week from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with compensation of $40 per visit and a guaranteed minimum of $140 per day.

The role requires a DPT or MPT, Michigan PT license, and APTA membership. The physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and leadership of Exercise Specialists. This is an excellent flexible opportunity for hands-on clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient evaluations and develops treatment plans with prognosis and expected duration of care
• Delivers treatment per HealthQuest philosophy of care
• Completes evaluations, progress notes, and care plans per QA standards
• Supervises Exercise Specialists ensuring safety and proper form of exercises
• Participates in peer review audits and internal processes
• Creates Home Exercise Programs for patients
• Engages in internal marketing to attract patients
• Maintains relationships with referring physicians and coordinates coverage during time off
• Communicates with patients and coverage therapists for continuity of care
• Pursues ongoing professional development and participates in related programs

Responsibilities

• Completes patient evaluations, develops appropriate treatment plans, and establishes prognosis and estimated duration of care necessary to reach goals.
• Provides skillful patient treatment in accordance with HealthQuest philosophy of care.
• Completes evaluations, progress notes, and care plan notes in the established format and in compliance with HealthQuest quality assurance standards.
• Provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to Exercise Specialists who assist with patient activities, ensure patient safety, proper use of equipment, and proper performance of exercise through careful instruction and correction.
• Participates in the peer review audit process.
• Creates a Home Exercise Program for each patient.
• Engages in internal marketing strategies to attract new patients.
• Maintains good relationships with referring physicians and proactively handles misunderstandings as they arise.
• Communicates effectively with both patient and coverage therapist in preparation for scheduled time off.
• Maintains commitment to continuous professional development and is actively engaged in the Professional Development Program and/or ongoing clinical education endeavors.

$140 - $400 a day
