Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center in Hudson, OH is hiring a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat post-surgical orthopedic patients. You will develop and implement a plan of care, administer treatments per physician orders, monitor progress, and coordinate with the care team.

Strong communication with physicians, nurses and case management is essential. The role requires a Doctorate or Master’s in Physical Therapy (or Bachelor’s with PT certificate), an active Ohio PT license, and BLS

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy required or Bachelor’s Degree with PT certificate.
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy in Ohio; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat and create an appropriate plan of care for post-surgical orthopaedic patients.
• Administer treatments per physician protocols; set frequency and duration of POC; monitor progress.
• Consult with physicians, nursing, case management and acute care inter-disciplinary team.
• Provide patient and family education; maintain records and process charges.
• Administer various PT treatments and assist in keeping patient records.

What You’ll Do:

• Evaluate, treat and creates an appropriate plan of care (POC) for the post-surgical orthopaedic patient
• Administer treatment based on approved physician orthopaedic protocols and patient tolerance in the acute care setting; sets the frequency and duration for the POC; monitors patient's progress, and directs Physical Therapist Assistants
• Consults with physicians, nursing team, case management and all other acute care interdisciplinary team
• Provides patient and family education; maintains records and processes appropriate charges.
• Administers various physical therapy treatments to patients based on physician orders; assists in keeping patient related records and preparing reports.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor's Degree and certificate in Physical Therapy.
• Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in field or profession preferred.
• License / Certification: Current License issued by the Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy/Athletic Trainers Board to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio. BLS required.
