Job description

Full-time, but open to a schedule of 24–36 hours per week over 3–5 days. Weekend rotation once per month (4-6 hours).

Duties and Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the evaluation, planning, documentation, and delivery of care in the acute care, transitional care, and inpatient rehab settings, with possible work in other areas as appropriate and desired.
  • Evaluates and treats patients in a manner that promotes quality patient care.
  • Maintains appropriate records for patients including patient charges and timely progress notes.
  • Supervises and instructs Physical Therapy Assistant and technicians in patient treatment provided in the Rehab Services.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with patients, patient's family, and visitors so they will perceive a positive rehabilitation experience.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations in dealing with co-workers, physicians, and other members of the hospital staff as to promote efficient and to provide quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds and assists in patient transfers.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
Education/Certifications
  • B. S. degree or certificate of Physical Therapy from a program approved by the APTA.
  • Licensed to practice professional Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio.
Experience
  • Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
