Base pay range

$45.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical or Occupational Therapist to join our specialized team working with individuals affected by neurological disorders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality therapy services to patients in our shared space at a Parkinson's Wellness Gym and in the client's homes as needed. This role requires a desire to work with individuals with neurological conditions, as well as a commitment to patient care and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical and cognitive capabilities and limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' independence with self-cares, mobility, balance, coordination, and overall function to improve their quality of life.
• Collaborate with other providers on the team to ensure effective discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Stay updated with the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy.
• Responsible insurance billing and knowledge of outpatient CPT codes.

Experience

• Proven experience in physical therapy within the outpatient setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physiology and neurological systems relevant to rehabilitation practices.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including geriatrics.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes and patient care strategies is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
