Job summary

Kelly Pediatric Therapy in Fort Washington is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school-based services for a local district. The position offers 1–2 days per week with flexibility and potential to expand to a full caseload, depending on interest.

You will screen and assess students, align services with IEP goals, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, maintain documentation, and collaborate with teachers and families to support carryover of therapy goals.

Qualifications

  • Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Required Child Abuse, Federal, and State clearances.
  • Pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred (support and mentorship available for those new to school settings).
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate standardized and informal tools.
  • Provide individualized and/or group physical therapy services aligned with IEP goals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and update IEPs.
  • Monitor student progress and determine readiness for dismissal from services.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support classroom-based implementation strategies.
  • Partner with families to support carryover of therapy goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and required records in compliance with federal, state, and school regulations.
  • Support compliance with IDEA and other applicable guidelines and policies.
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and evolving trends in physical therapy.
