Downey Post Acute in Downey, CA, is seeking a Weekend PRN Physical Therapist to join our in-house therapy team. This role offers a weekend schedule with work-life balance and a pay rate of $55–$60/hour based on experience.

We are a post-acute care facility with geriatric services, seeking an individual who can conduct screenings, develop care plans, deliver rehabilitative treatment, and provide family and caregiver counseling. License is required; new grads are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and wounds; develop care plans.
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment consistent with regulatory standards.
• Perform procedures as part of rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Offer counseling to patients, families, and caregivers on physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries ensuring regulatory compliance.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST - PRN - WEEKEND SCHEDULE - DOWNEY POST ACUTE - DOWNEY, CA

Downey Post Acute in Downey, CA, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are seeking a Weekend PRN Physical Therapist to join our in-house therapy team.

Pay

$55- $60/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

Physical Therapist license is required.
