FirstLight Home Care of Colorado Springs is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. This part-time, PRN position offers flexibility, allowing you to schedule visits that fit your current commitments.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of home care experience, be a licensed Physical Therapist, and possess a valid driver’s license. We emphasize high-quality care and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Competitive pay ranges from $75 to $85 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in home care preferred.
• Certified by the National Board for Certification.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations to determine treatment plans.
• Develop individualized treatment programs.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Provide manual therapy techniques for pain relief.
• Educate patients on body mechanics for home.
• Monitor and document patient progress.

Our Ideal Candidate Has

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• 2 years of experience
• Certified by the National Board for Certification
• Active Physical Therapist state license
• CPR Certification
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience working with the elderly and homecare
• Capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of dead weight alone
• Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs

Primary Responsibilities

• Conducting patient evaluations & assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment programs based on patient needs and goals
• Administering therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve strength, range of motion, and mobility
• Providing manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy to address pain and muscle tension
• Educating patients on proper body mechanics and exercises for home exercise programs
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress throughout the course of treatment
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
• Adhering to all legal, ethical, and professional guidelines in the provision of physical therapy services

Experience

• Home care: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification

• Physical Therapy License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
