Reports to: Physical Therapy Director, Physical Therapy Manager

Schedule/Type: FT/PT - Salary

Wage: $72,800-$95,680/yr, commensurate with experience

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assess and interpret evaluations and test results to determine optimal physical therapy treatment plans.
2. Administer diverse physical therapy treatments in accordance with regulatory standards.
3. Guide patients in performing exercises and using therapeutic devices, ensuring adherence to treatment plans.
4. Educate patients on present condition(s) and instruct on preventative aspects of self-care to facilitate and maintain a higher level of wellness.
5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for effective discharge planning and follow-up programs.
6. Document patient care services meticulously in patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
7. Assist in ensuring physical therapy aides, student assistants, and volunteers function within their appropriate scope.
8. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
9. Ensure the operation of equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
10. Incorporate clinical expertise, patient values, and current best evidence into daily clinical practice.

Education/Certification requirements:

1. Graduate from an Accredited Physical Therapy Program.
2. Successful completion of clinical internship.
3. Current Colorado physical therapist license required.
4. BLS Certificate within 3 months of hire.

Experience Required:

1. One (1) year of practical physical therapy experience preferably in orthopedics and sports medicine; OR any combination of training and experience.

Physical Requirements:

1. This position works in the patient physical therapy gym in a medical practice.
2. The position involves regular walking, sitting, standing, bending, and lifting throughout working hours.
3. The ability to lift objects weighing over 50 pounds is essential, as well as the ability to push wheelchairs and transport/support patients as needed.
4. Candidates must remain constantly alert to ensure patient safety in the workplace.
