Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Description The Physical Therapist role at Cambridge Health Alliance is a full-time, on-site position based in Cambridge, MA. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life. Daily responsibilities include conducting physical assessments, implementing rehabilitation programs, educating patients and families on home exercises and injury prevention, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other care team members. The role also involves documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and supporting safe transitions of care, including coordination of home care services when appropriate. The Physical Therapist contributes to a patient-centered environment that promotes respect, safety, and positive clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with demonstrated ability to design and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Proficiency in Patient Care and Home Care practices, including education, discharge planning, and continuity of care in community settings.
  • General understanding of Medicine as it relates to musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions treated in physical therapy.
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Massachusetts.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
  • Experience in hospital or outpatient clinical settings preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training are also encouraged to apply.
