Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist (PT, DPT, RPT) in Home Health is responsible for assessing and evaluating patients' care needs related to functional status, mobility, endurance, pain, and other medical conditions. Based on this assessment, the therapist develops a treatment plan, performs interventions to improve patient well-being, and evaluates progress.

Key responsibilities include:

• Evaluating patients’ functional status and therapy needs; assisting physicians in developing the plan of care
• Monitoring and reporting patient responses and condition changes to the healthcare team
• Treating patients to relieve pain, restore function, and maintain maximum functioning according to standards of practice
• Instructing patients and families about the care plan, limitations, and progress

Education and Experience

Licensure Requirements:

• Current Physical Therapy license in MA
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle
