Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our growing team delivering home-based Early Intervention services to infants, toddlers and their families.

This role offers flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and benefits; you will assess development, apply the Parent Coaching Model, and support families in natural environments across California.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license is required.
• Pediatric experience with Early Intervention is preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child's IFSP and work with families to reach developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Deliver services in the child's natural environment, including homes and community settings.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annual.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers' confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child's natural environment, in families' homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
