Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. is seeking California-licensed Physical Therapists to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers.

The role offers flexible schedules, a sign-on bonus, and mileage reimbursement across California. You will conduct developmental PT assessments, collaborate on IFSP goals with families, and use a family-centered coaching approach to empower caregivers.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide PT services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and help families develop strategies to reach developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and skills and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment: homes, daycare centers, and other community settings.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
