Role Description This is a Part time role with opportunity for inpatient and outpatient therapy services, on-site Physical Therapist based in Bellingham, WA. The Physical Therapist will evaluate residents’ functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance independence. Daily responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, monitoring progress, updating care plans, and documenting services in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. The role involves collaborating closely with nursing staff, physicians, rehabilitation team members, and families to support coordinated, person-centered care. The Physical Therapist will also provide education on exercise, safety, and home programs to help residents maintain gains and prevent further decline.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, including evaluation, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Medicine and Patient Care, ensuring safe, evidence-based practice and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Candidates should possess abilities related to Home Care, including designing carryover programs and educating residents and caregivers for continued progress outside formal therapy sessions.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Washington) and graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Experience working with older adults or in skilled nursing, assisted living, or similar care settings is highly beneficial.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative care team.
