Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist in the Hamptons/Hill Town area for full-time day visit work, helping patients stay at home and improve mobility. You will assess, treat, reexamine regularly, and plan discharges to support patient independence.

Qualifications include a current PT license, CAPTE-accredited degree, and CPR. Typically 1 year of home health is preferred; mentoring may be available for newer therapists.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program per CAPTE.
• CPR certification is required.

• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations (every 30 days at minimum), adjust plans as needed, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
