Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist for full-time days to provide home health visits across West and Southwest coverage areas. This role offers the chance to help patients heal in the comfort of their homes and be part of a leading home health and hospice provider in the U.S.

Compensation is strong, with attractive pay ranging from $113,000 to $143,000 annually, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical plans, PTO, wellness rewards, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program as set by CAPTE.
• One year related physical therapy experience for home health care, ensuring safe patient care.
• If less than one year of experience, regional clinical leaders' approval and mentoring or residency participation are required.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days minimum, modify interventions as needed, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.


• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).


• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.


• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.


• Current CPR certification.
